What is leadership? Leadership differs from management.  They are, however, two distinct and complementary modes of action, each with their own functions and activities.  Both are necessary for success in today's economic environment. Management manages complexity through planning and budgeting;  it sets the objectives to be achieved in the near future, by establishing the precise stages which make it possible to achieve them, then distributes the resources necessary for the implementation of this plan.
